Play Based Training

Want better results from your training? Make sure it’s fun. Some things to look out for that might indicate a change is needed.

  1. Training Feels like a Burden or Chore

    This could be a sign you’re doing too much, and you’re doing things that are inappropriate for you.

  2. Your training was planned by someone else without your input.

    I understand there are trainers and coaches who tell everyone what to do with no input from the trainee. I think this approach will rarely lead to the best results. You are a lot more likely to be invested in your training, and enjoy your training if you made all the final decisions.

  3. You feel a lack of motivation or desire

    This is a big sign that something is off. It could be you are doing things you didn’t want to do, or that are not fun for you. Something needs to change. After all, it’s not a punishment.
