Determine how you want the skill or exercise to be performed. It’s ok to experiment a little bit. Have a reason for your technique. There are always trends and people that popular beliefs that you will have to be mindful of when deciding who to be influenced by

  1. Strength Training is NOT Skill Training

    The popularity of the functional training trend has misled people to believe that practicing your skill with weight will increase skill. Strength training and Skill training are two different things.

  2. Choose Training That Transfers

    Transfer means that what you do in training enhances your outcomes on the field or in life. How much you sweat or how hard you work doesn’t equate to benefit. It’s important to work hard, but only at those things that make us better. Train for an outcome.
